Financial Associate Director

I graduated with a degree in electronics and communications from Sheffield University in UK.

After graduation, I worked in the computer industry for a few years before discovering that I am more passionate working with people rather than computers. In searching for an industry where I could fulfil my passion, I chanced upon the insurance industry where I witnessed several testimonials of claimants who had benefitted from the proceeds of their insurance policies and claims. Their stories touched me deeply. I felt that this is the industry I want to serve in as it is where I could really touch lives and make a difference to people. I decided to switch from the “high tech” industry to this “high touch” industry. I had never once looked back for the last 28 years.

When I started my financial planner career, I made a promise to my clients that I will serve them for life as long as I am still alive and kicking. Proud to say that I have kept my promise till this day despite the ups and downs in my initial years. Whilst it was challenging initially, it was and still is also very fulfilling hearing the appreciation from my clients when they received their retirement funds, their children’s education funds, their critical illness claim proceeds, and when AIA pays their medical bills and accident bills. I serve my clients with sincerity and their interests first and have won their trust and loyalty. Hence, over the years, my clients had increased their portfolio with me and had referred many of their friends to me. Most of them have their policies with me for the last 28 years and have seen their coverage and savings grown over the years. Several of them of them want to continue the policies and leave a legacy to their children.

As I reflect, this is a great career when we serve with honesty, integrity and sincerity. Mission before commission and doing well by doing good.

With my knowledge and experience gained over my 28 years in this industry , I also coach people who want to do well by doing good; people who want to help people to acquire the right financial products to meet different needs. And, indeed many policies I sold had been beneficial to insured and their families like the living too long, dying too soon, high healthcare costs and income replacement risks.
